Seth’s Perspective
Poor Ollie, he had been through so much and was so damn tired. After Zach and Officer Phil unloaded his clothes, some toys, and a portable crib from Ms. Elkins SUV, we set up his crib in our room and put him down for the night. Ms. Elkin and Officer Phil stayed a little while, we made them watch Freddy’s Christmas show, and Officer Phil looked around our house checking things out. It was clear he was protective of Ollie and was making sure he was leaving him in a safe place. By the time they left, it was clear he felt good about leaving him with us. I had developed a great appreciation for law enforcement since moving to North Carolina, the officers we had met were all decent people and had helped us out several times. After we said goodbye to Ms. Elkin and Officer Phil, Zach and I went up to bed, I didn’t sleep for shit, I was up all night looking into the crib checking on Ollie constantly. He woke up about 5:30AM and I saw his big brown eyes for the first time, he was so adorable but so sad. He had brown skin, black hair, and big brown eyes, I was guessing he was of Indian decent. He looked around the dark room, his lower lip quivered as he searched for him momma then asked for her, speaking for the first time. He broke into a heartbreaking sob when he realized she wasn’t there. I got up and lifted him out of the crib as Zach and everyone else in the house slept. I carried him down the stairs where we paced and paced as I tried to comfort him. Petunia followed us as we covered every inch of the first floor over and over while Ollie blew snot into the shoulder of my sweatshirt. I finally sat down in the big leather chair in the living room and rocked our new little houseguest. Petunia put her paws on the arm of the chair and licked the boys tears dry… he giggled. He actually giggled. I talked quietly to him as he lay his head back down on my wet shoulder, “I’m Seth, this is Petunia. Welcome to our home… you can stay here as long as you like…” I told him all about Zach, and Freddy, and Izzy, I’m sure he didn’t understand a word of it but I told him anyway. I did my best to speak in a quiet, soothing voice and make him feel comfortable and welcome. After a long while he lifted his head up, looked me in the eyes and reached for my nose. I smiled at him and asked, “are you hungry Ollie?” he nodded, there was such sadness in those big brown eyes. I stood up and carried our guest into the kitchen with Petunia following behind.
When Zach and the kids woke up and came into the kitchen, Ollie was sitting in Izzy’s highchair eating Mickey Mouse pancakes as he looked around and took in his new surroundings. Izzy pointed to Ollie, scowled, and said, “Dat baby in my chao” (Izzy to English translation” Who the HELL is that baby and what the FUCK is it doing in MY highchair?”) Miss Izzy was not amused.
“Hi Ollie” Zach said seeing the boy awake for the first time, “I’m Zach” he said as Ollie continued to eat. “We’re happy you’re here. That’s Freddy, and that’s Izzy.” He said pointing to the kids.
“Good morning, guys, Ms. Elkin brought Ollie over late last night, he’s going to be staying with us for a while.” I explained.
“Was his Momma bad too?” Freddy asked. Zach and I exchanged looks, hell, we had no clue what to say. Did we really want to get into a discussion of death and suicide with a six year old and an almost three year old?
“Kinda” Zach said. “Ms. Elkin is looking for his daddy and Ollie will be staying with us until she finds him.” I thought that was a good answer.
Freddy took the lead and walked up to the highchair, “Hi Ollie, I’m Freddy. You can stay in my room I got an extra bed, and you can play with any of my toys too” Ollie just smiled sadly at him, I still wasn’t sure if he understood. But god, what a good kid Freddy was. I had forgotten that this wasn’t Freddy’s first rodeo, he had been in several foster homes before he found us and he empathized with the little guy.
Izzy walked up to the kid who took her highchair looked him up and down, then looked at me and asked, “Where I sit?” (Izzy to English translation: If this little shit is taking my chair, where the hell am I supposed to sit?!”).
I lifted her up and put her on one of the barstools at the kitchen island and adjusted it to its highest setting. “You’re big enough to sit here for now. It’s nice of you to share your chair with Ollie.”
“I good” Izzy said. Then everyone sat at the island while I dished out breakfast. The thing I loved about the kids is how they just went with the flow… other than Izzy being pissed about having to share her highchair, they just kind of went on with life after they met Ollie. After breakfast it was Izzy’s turn to update the advent calendar by moving an ornament onto the tree… here’s where she shocked me, she took the little ornament and handed it to Ollie, then she took his hand and walked him over to the tree-shaped advent calendar and pointed, “put it dao” she told the little guy (Izzy to English translation: Put the ornament there, on the advent calendar), and he did.
I couldn’t believe she shared her turn with him, and I couldn’t help but hug her, “That was very nice, Izzy.”
“Dat baby sad” she responded. “I make it happy.” She got it. Our less than three year old was already showing empathy. Goddammit I was proud of her.
Zach took all the kids upstairs while I got on the phone and tried to rearrange my day so I could be with Ollie. Mrs. Mavis would likely make room for him at the daycare, but that poor kid was hit with so many changes already that me and Zach decided that we’d try to work our schedules out so we could stay home with him for a few days before we sent him off to yet another strange place. I could take him to the office with me while I met with Rodney and BA about my schedule and then work remotely the rest of the week. When I had a plan in place, I joined Zach upstairs to help with the kids. He took the first shower while I got Izzy and Ollie dressed, and Freddy dressed himself. Then Zach relieved me and I took a quick shower then dressed casually for the carpool and quick visit to the office. Zach moved the other baby seat from the GTI to the Atlas and moved the seats around so the two little ones were in the middle seat and the two booster seats were in the third row, we had a full boat. Zach helped me load all the kids into the SUV, kissed us all goodbye (including Ollie who didn’t seem to like that too much), and then I was off to carpool, and Zach was off to the office. I pulled up the gravel drive of BroMax Farm to pick up Teddy and saw Max walking to his minivan, I tooted the horn a few times to get his attention and pulled up to where he was, he came over to the driver’s window.
“Hey” I said and was about to tell him about Ollie when Izzy yelled from the backseat.
“Wookit dat baby” she yelled, then I rolled down the window of the back door to reveal Ollie.
“Meet Ollie” I said to Max. His eyes lit up.
“Oh my god, hey little fella” Max said with a big, welcoming smile.
“Baby, dat Mac” Izzy said making introductions while Max cooed over Ollie. Meanwhile Teddy and Brody had come out of the house, Teddy was already crawling into his seat next to Freddy in the third row. And Brody came to the window by Max.
“Brodes, this is Ollie” Max said to his husband. Brody greeted the newcomer with a huge smile on his face, while Brody and Ollie got acquainted, I filled Max in on how Ollie came to be with us. “Oh my god, and just a few weeks before Christmas” he said with empathy for our new guest. “Do you have any idea how long he’s staying?”
“I don’t know” I said quietly as the others all fussed over the baby. “All Ms. Elkin knew last night was that his name was Ollie. They’re trying to track down his father, or some other family, so all we know is he’s here until he’s not I guess.” Brody and the three other kids were doing their damnedest to get a smile outta Ollie, they were making a little progress. “I’m going into the office to meet with Rodney and BA, then I’m going to work remotely for a couple of days” I informed my boss. “I’m working on the board meeting reports and a couple of grant proposals, so the timing is good.”
“Do what you need to do. You’re the boss” Max said. He trusted me. “Did you get any sleep last at all night?” he asked.
“Nope, me and Ollie might share naptime today” I replied with a chuckle. We finished our conversation and said goodbye, the guys waved to Ollie and he waved back as we rolled down the driveway. On the way to school I put on our car playlist and the kids sang ‘That’s What I Like About You’ I watched Ollie in the rearview mirror, he almost smiled a few times s Izzy sang right at him (not to him… at him). We dropped the boys at school, then went to Mrs. Mavis’s to drop off Izzy. I got the kids out of their car seats and went inside. I introduced Ollie to Mrs. Mavis, then he, Izzy, and one of the other kids went off to play. As I was updating Mrs. Mavis, Gina came in with her two kids. Izzy introduced them all to “dat baby” then Gina joined the conversation. For the record, every time Izzy said “dat baby” I corrected her and said “his name is Ollie” … she didn’t care, he was “dat baby” as far as she was concerned. Mrs. Mavis agreed to take Ollie when we were ready and suggested I bring him in every morning when I drop Izzy off to let him play for a little while until he was comfortable, then we could leave him. Gina had to get to school, so she was in and out quick, but offered to help us with whatever we needed (of course). Ollie and I hung out for a while after she left, he played with the others and I talked to Mrs. Mavis a little more, then it was off to work. Izzy wasn’t thrilled that Ollie got to go with me and she had to stay, but Mrs. Mavis distracted her and we took off.
I talked to Ollie for most of the trip while we locked eyes in the rearview mirror. I had no clue if he understood anything I was saying, but I kept telling him how happy we were to have him with us and talked about Izzy, and Freddy, and Zach, and how maybe in a few days he could stay with Izzy at daycare and play, blah, blah, blah… it kept him from breaking into tears. Once he said “Mommy” as his beautiful, sad brown eyes met mine in the mirror begging for me to find her, but all I could offer was, “she’s not here sweetie. I’m Seth” I had no clue what to tell him. Mommy was the only word I had heard him say, heck it might have been the only one he knew.
I parked the SUV in my usual spot behind The Village and unloaded Ollie, my work bag, and the diaper bag (with actual diapers… argh, that was a new twist for us). We went in to find BA and Rodney working together in Rodney’s office… BA went apeshit when she saw Ollie, “Who in the world is this lil’ darlin’” she said as she snatched him from my arms. I introduced the two as Ollie sat perched on her hip looking at her with a ‘who the fuck are you’ look. “You are absolutely beautiful” she said to him. She wasn’t wrong, he truly was a beautiful little boy. While BA was trying to win the little guy over, my phone rang, it was Ms. Elkin. BA watched Ollie while I stepped into my office.
“Hey Maureen, do you have any new information?” I asked.
“First things first, how’s your new houseguest settling in?” She asked.
“He’s so sad, Maureen. Everyone is trying to make him smile. The poor guy probably met more people today than he has in his entire, short life” I answered.
“How are the other kids reacting?” She asked.
I chuckled, “Well, Izzy was pissed that he was eating breakfast in her highchair, and just calls him “Dat Baby, but… she did let him take her turn to put an ornament on the advent calendar” I said. “And Freddy told him he could sleep in his room and play with his toys.”
“You’ve got two great kids” Maureen answered.
“Two or three?” I asked. “Back to my question, do you have any new information?”
“Well, the police have a positive ID on his mother and his father’s name. Apparently, she’s been battling depression her whole life and was hospitalized for attempted suicide a few years ago.” She said. “His father is from India and apparently left the country several months ago… OH, and Ollie is not Ollie. He’s Ah-li, A-L-I.”
I chuckled again, “well, that makes sense… at least we were close.”
“The bottom line is that we have a few leads, but it may take a while to find family, so I’d plan on him staying for a while’ she said.
“Okay, then I need help. Is he too young to potty train? If not, how do I do that? Can he sleep in a regular bed or do I need to get a crib? What size diapers do I buy? Do I need rash cream and stuff like that?” My babbling made Maureen laugh.
“I can help you with all that” she said then told me exactly what to do… she was amazing. By the time we hung up, I had a plan and knew exactly what I had to pick up from Target. I called Zach and told him what I learned including that our Ollie was really Ali, I also warned him that I was going to have to drop a ton of money at Target. Zach had some news of his own.
“I talked to Karen’s landlord” he said. “He’s seems like a good guy and a million questions about Izzy and Freddy, he said he thought about them all the time and wondered what had happened to them. He was so happy to hear they were safe and happy.”
“Did he know what happened to their stuff?”
“Yeah, he’s got most of it” Zach responded. “He said most of the furniture was so bad that he just dumped it, but he and his wife boxed up all their personal stuff and kept it in their garage. I made plans to go get it this weekend.”
“Awesome news!” I said.
“I thought maybe we could take it back to mom and dads, go through it, clean it up and box up the good stuff for them as a Christmas gift from Karen” Zach suggested.
“I love that idea! They could open it while she’s on facetime” I said, and we talked a little longer before we hung up. After that, I met with Rodney and BA to make a plan for working remotely, gathered my stuff and Dat Baby, then headed to Target where me and Ali bought diapers, some toys, some clothes, rubber sheets for the extra bunk in Freddy’s room, a bin for diapers, a potty seat, a rail for the lower bunk in Freddy’s room (as per Ms. Elkin’s suggestion), and lastly a booster seat for our big girl Izzy. By the time I pulled the Atlas into the drive, Ali was out cold. I put him in the portable crib for his nap while I unloaded the car and went to work getting him set up in Freddy’s room. He slept for a good hour and a half. In that time, I had turned the lower bunk in Freddy’s room into a training bed to get him out of the crib, put his clothes away in one of the drawers of Freddy’s dresser, and even set up a little corner in the den with his toys. He had come with a lot more stuff than the other two kids did. When he woke up from his nap, he was definitely getting more comfortable around me… no crying for mommy (although he would ask for her over and over for the next several days) and he smiled when I came into the room to get him from his crib. I took him to Freddy’s room and changed him on the lower bunk. I told him that was HIS big boy bed, and showed him where his clothes were, etc. He seemed to understand and when I took him to the den to show him where his toys were, he said “mine?’ and pointed (another word he knew… good). I put him down to play and Petunia came in and laid next to him ready to protect like she did with the other kids. I sat in a chair in the corner and worked on my laptop while he played. That was our first day together and it went surprisingly well.
He came with me on carpool again and the kids seemed genuinely happy to see him in the car when we picked them up, and he smiled when they all piled into the car. When we went into Mrs. Mavis’s to get Izzy, Izzy handed him a sheet of red construction papers covered in crayon scribbles and said, “I maked dis for you baby. No cry” (Izzy to English: I made this work of art for you to welcome you to our home, Ali. Now, please stop your incessant crying). It was a big gesture for her. That night we welcomed Ali with a gourmet dinner of Macaroni and hotdogs. Izzy sat in her booster seat for thew first time, Ali took over the highchair, and slept in the crib in our room again. Friday was a repeat of the day before except it ended with Pizza night at Gina and Dylan’s, Ali met a lot of people and got a lot of attention, he was asking for his mommy less and smiling more… there was no more news from Mrs. Elkin on the hunt for his family.
At the end of the night, we put him to sleep in the lower bunk in Freddy’s room for the first time, and Zach and I had our bedroom to ourselves again. We lay side-by-side, face-to-face and talked about all that had happened over that past couple of days, then apropos to nothing I said with a grin, “You owe me a fuck bottom boy.”
Zach chuckled, “I thought you would never ask. My balls were getting ready to run off and join the Blue Man Group.”
With a snicker and a smile, we picked up where we had left off a couple of nights before. I kissed him passionately as I peeled off my clothes and rolled on top of him whispering, “Get naked,” he did. My hardening manhood was grinding against his as we both got back into the mood. This time ‘round, things moved faster as we made up for lost time and hoped the baby monitors stayed silent. Within seconds, we were naked and all over each other! I flipped around on top of him in a sixty nine then I reached back and sunk my steel piped down his throat. I wrapped my arms around the back of his thighs, pulled his ass to my face and went to work on the tight, pink delicacy before me. The scents and tastes that had me reeling a couple of nights before were all back at it doing their job of working me into a tizzy. My hips instinctively moved up and down slowly fucking his face while my tongue devoured his hole, lubing it up in preparation for its long overdue reunion with my manhood. Zach was choking and moaning around my cock sending me into a euphoric rage, I couldn’t help myself… I slapped his ass and drove my tongue in deep. Suddenly, we heard a noise that didn’t come from either of us… it was a baby. Everything stopped as I rolled off Zach to check the monitor screens. I saw Ali rolling, but in just seconds he was back asleep and I was back on Zach.
After I had his hole slickened and eager, and he had my pole hard and ready I flipped around and we made out. Our lips touched and the taste of his ass and my cock blended as our tongues intertwined in unbridled lust… after two days of waiting we were both ready to go. Zach wrapped his legs around me, I reach down and lined my hard and ready cock up with his slick and eager hole and pushed in. My engorged head popped past his ass ring and into his hot chute, he gripped me tight and pulled me in, the sensation was amazing… he was so tight and I was so horny. I moved in and out of him slowly at first, then faster, then my ass became a pile-driving force as our lovemaking turned to hot fucking. Zach was grunting and groaning and on the verge of screaming when he put my shoulder in his mouth and screamed into it. I couldn’t help but smile to myself realizing that I was giving my husband immeasurable pleasure (one of my favorite things to do). “Fuck me, Seth” he whimpered into my shoulder, “Fuck yes. Fuck me.” Zach rarely bottomed, but when he did, he got lost in the lust of it all, he loved the feel of my cock up his ass regardless of his denial. His pleas and cries of pleasure spurred me on and I fucked him harder and faster. “Oh my god, holy fuck, I’m cumming” Zach grunted out just as he shot his load between us, hands-free (damn). The first shot hit me on the chin, the second hit his face, several others landed between us. His sphincter grabbed me even tighter as he shot, literally milking me dry. Without warning I shot my load up his ass then collapsed on top of him.
“Damn, Zach. That was amazing” I whispered as I clung to my husband.
“We fucking needed that” Zach said as he huffed and puffed catching his breath. “God I’m covered in cum and sweat… wanna take a shower?” he asked with a devilish grin. We lay there for a few moments, then got up and took a shower together. We soaped each other up under the warm, cascading water, then just held each other... it was a wonderfully intimate moment, a respite from our (currently) three kids and the rest of the world. After our shower we dried each other off, wrapped ourselves in towels and went into the bedroom where we found Freddy standing there holding the hand of a sobbing Ali.
“Ollie’s sad again” Freddy said. “He keeps saying “mommy”.”
“Oh, Buddy come here” Zach said as he lifted the sobbing little mess and held him against his bare chest. Damn, he was a natural father.
I took Freddy to his room and put him bed, “You’re a good kid, Freddy. Thanks for taking care of Ali.”
“He misses his momma, just like I did when I first came here” Freddy said, “I hope Ms. Elkin finds his daddy.” He really cared, and still didn’t know how to explain the situation to him.
“Yup. He needs us” I said. Freddy nodded before he laid his head on the pillow. I kissed him on the forehead and went back to our room. I pulled on my PJ’s and took Ali from Zach’s arms. I took him downstairs and paced around the first floor until he fell back asleep, then I sat in the big leather chair and fell asleep with Ali’s head on my shoulder. It was about 3AM when Zach came to check on us and woke me up. He took Ali and put him back to bed, then the two of us crawled back into our own bed.
“I’m gonna sneak out and go to Karen’s landlord’s this morning to see what he’s got” Zach said.
“I hope you find some great stuff… I pretty much shot the Christmas budget on Ali supplies yesterday” I said.
Zach laughed, “We already bought them so much shit, and you know my parents will spoil them rotten, plus… Ali needs it more than they do.” I agreed 100%.
Our family had unexpectedly grown by one just in time for Christmas, even if it was just for a short time, I was happy Ali was with us.
To be continued…
