Seth’s Perspective

The air was cold and the night was dark, the only light was the reflection of the moon on the water and those shining from the houses and hotels further offshore in the distance. I was holding my shoes in one hand and Zach’s hand in the other as we strolled barefooted on the beach after midnight on New Year’s morning. It was officially our fourth anniversary. We talked quietly (well, maybe not that quietly, we were loud enough to be heard over the crash of the waves).

“Four years” Zach said.

“Only four years?” I replied. “It feels like we’ve always been together, and look how much shit has happened.”

“I know. Right?” Zach said with a chuckle as we kept walking hand-in-hand without any destination or purpose, and the cold sand squishing between our frozen toes. “I remember the very first time I saw you in the dorms… my hot AF, gay, suitemate. You were this closet cases greatest wet dream and worst fucking nightmare all rolled into one.” It was dark but I could see his dimples and teeth as he looked at me and smiled that devilish smile that had been melting my heart since the very first time we met like over eight years ago.

“Who the hell could’ve ever imagined we’d get married, moved to North Carolina and adopt two kids?” I asked.

“Two SO FAR” Zach corrected. “You know… we never talk about it, but, um… your accident.” He was having trouble finding the words. It was the darkest time in our relationship and neither one of us really wanted to relive it. We stopped and turned towards each other and I squeezed his hand tight. “When I got to the scene and saw your car, I was sure as fuck that I lost you, and… Seth…” Zach was tearing up.

I wrapped my arms around his neck (shoes still in hand) and put my Forehead against his and whispered, “but you didn’t. You didn’t fucking lose me; in fact, you saved me. You gave me a reason to live” I said. “Face it sooner or later we’re both gonna go, and one of us will have to be first, but it’s not gonna be anytime soon.” Zach wrapped his arms around my waist and we just stood there hugging in the middle of the deserted South Carolina beach. Zach sobbed, his face just inches from mine and our foreheads touched. Through the entire accident and rehab, Zach stayed strong, but now, almost a year later he was letting it all out, like he was leaving the sad parts of the old year behind. “You were so strong for me. For all of us” I said. “If you didn’t stay strong they would’ve taken the kids, but you kept everything going… including me.” Then I changed the subject. “Happy New Year! We both lived through last year and we picked up some precious cargo along the way… The last year was great and this next year is gonna be even more fucking awesome!”

The tears running down our cheeks turned cold in the chilly night air. We stood on the dark, cold, beach and celebrated our anniversary in solitude. Just the two of us. At 12:45, the time of our wedding, Zach put his hands on my cold cheeks, pulled my face to his, and we kissed. It was a sweet, gentle kiss that turned hard and lustful very quickly. My perfectly perverted husband moved one hand down to my crotch and squeezed, trying to seduce me there, on the cold beach, in the moonlight, exactly four years after we pledged our lives to each other. He tried to unzip my pants, but I grabbed his hand. “Stop. The beach is closed, we’re not even supposed to be out here” I said in protest, but when Zach was in the mood, Zach was in the mood. He just grinned that devilish grin then took my hand and pulled me to the nearest dune where we made out and felt each other up in the chilly night air. “Seriously, Zach. We’re not doing it in the sand dunes, it’s not even fifty degrees out here” I said with a laugh as Zach kept kissing and pawing at me. “C’mon” I said pulling him back onto the beach and walking towards our hotel that was just a few buildings away.

We walked back to our hotel holding hands the whole way. The warmth of the hotel lobby felt freaking incredible after our long stroll in the cold! We made our way up to our room where I lit the (leather scented) BroMax candle I had packed in my backpack. Meanwhile, Zach turned down the bed, pulled the drapes closed, and put some sultry, soulful R&B on in the background, the mood was perfect. Finally, the two of us stood there face to face, next to the big, luxurious bed in the candle light and stripped each other down to our underwear. I’m sorry… but I need to say it… Zach was a fucking god! He was standing there in his silky black Jockey’s with the candlelight flickering off his soccer-built muscles. I swear you could put my man side-by-side with any Greek god and he’d shame them all. We were both plumping up and Zach’s purple head was peeking out of his waistband, he put an arm around my waist and pulled my groin against his and ground himself into me. The heat of his manhood against mine sent bolts of electricity through my entire being as we tenderly kissed.

I remembered a conversation that I had with Taylor once where he told me that sex with a stranger was the most exciting thing for him… the thrill of not knowing each other or what was going to happen. I could not freaking disagree more! Being with someone who knows your body, your mind, what you like, what you want, what you need. Someone who knows every button to push and exactly how and when to push them. Now THAT, was fucking HOT! Zach knew me inside and out, and he never stopped trying to push me or excite me. Both of his hands found their way to my firm ass, kneading the mounds of flesh through the silky fabric as our tongues lovingly explored each other’s mouths. Zach pulled back for a moment and just looked at me, “you are seriously the hottest man on earth” he said. I loved it when he said stuff like that even though I knew it was pure bull shit. HE was the hottest man on earth and I was just the lucky fuck that ended up with him.

He pulled my jockeys down and out popped my hardon; I returned the favor and we kicked them to the side. We stood there just frotting and making out for a while. “How adventurous are you feeling?” Zach asked with that frigging devilish grin.

“Very?” I said as more of a question more than a statement wondering what he had in mind.

“Do a handstand” he said with a snicker.

“WHAT?!” I asked laughing.

“C’mon. Just do it” he encouraged. What the hell? Why not? I bent down on the floor, planted my hands on the carpet and pushed my legs into the air. Zach intercepted them and held me up by the ankles, “Holy fuck that’s hot” he said as he looked down at my vulnerable underside. I felt the warmth of his saliva as he dribbled it into my hole then massaged it in with his thumbs. Oh, my fucking god!!! I was upside down; the blood was rushing to my head and Zach was giving my hole his undivided attention. The feeling was… well… freaking otherworldly! My face was flush and my ass was alive with the sensation of Zach’s probing thumbs… well that was until his tongue replaced them. Once his mouth took over, his hand reached under me and played with my cock and balls… I could not believe all the new sensations coursing through my body as my face and my cock fought for possession of my blood… some went to my head; some went to my cock and it was making me lightheaded as fuck which just added to eroticism of it all. “Move back a little” Zach said as he moved me a little bit so I could lean on the bed. “Okay, now lower yourself a little” he growled. I lowered myself until I was basically standing on my head. “Yeah, that’s it. Fucking perfect” he growled again, then he put his engorged cockhead against my hole and pushed his way in.

I yelped in pleasure, “Fuck… oh my g… fuck… deeper… fuck… deeper” I involuntarily blurted and begged. It was so flipping amazing and I wanted him… no… NEEDED him deep inside me. “Yeah, fuck me” I begged. Zach had fucked me an uncountable number of times over the past eight years, but this was different. This was animalistic gymnastics at its best and Zach was Nadia Comaneci working my ass like the balance beam. I was upside down, Zach was standing above me, moving, and contorting his body however he had to to get deep inside me… he was going for the Gold as he pounded me hard! His cock was entering me at an entirely new angle and touching places in me that had never been touched before. “Fuck, FUCK, ZACH!” I yelled… literally YELLED with my head resting on the floor and my eyes looking at his perfect feet.

“You like that?” He asked in a lustful tone, then his voice turned sultry, “yeah… you love it you hot little fuck” then his athletic arm brought his hand down on my firm buttocks for a loud, hard smack as he continued to push into me. My hot jock got cocky for a moment and declared, “no one can fuck you as good as I can.” He wasn’t wrong.

“You’re the fucking champ” I panted, “Fuck me!” It was the most uncomfortably, perfect, pleasureful pain I had ever experience in my life… so wrong and so fucking right at the same time. He fucked in and out of me slowly, then picked up the speed, then it was an out and out fuck. He was hitting me in places that I had no clue existed while my head was being banged against the padded carpet. I swear he discovered a few new G-spots that night. Then I felt it… my already flushed face got even hotter as the plops of cream covered it. “Fuck, Zach!” I said through my panting breaths, “I just shot my load all over my own face.”

Zach chuckled, “No way!” Then growled, “fuck yes! You love it don’t you, baby?”

“I do!” I panted, “I do. Keep fucking me” oh my god I can’t explain myself. I was always kinda vanilla, but my head bouncing against the padded carpet, my ass being smacked, while Zach literally fucked me upside-down making me cum on my own face… holy fuck. I licked as much of my own cum off my face as I could while Zach fucked me with amazing enthusiasm.

With a growl, a grunt, and a groan Zach let loose what felt like a gallon of cum. Still on my head, I could feel the warm cream fill me and work its way into my bowels… Damn! Just. Damn. Zach leaned over my contorted body, his cock still up my ass, his arms outstretched, and his torso resting on the bed. “Oh, my fucking god, Seth” he said panting like he just competed in the Olympics. After a few seconds of him lying over me… crushing me… Zach dismounted. I was the only judge and I gave him a perfect ten!

Zach helped me lower my body onto the floor, then he lifted me up so we were face to face and he licked the cum from me. As soon as he licked me clean, I dropped to my knees and cleaned his magnificent perfection. Before I could stand, Zach fell to his knees and met me on the floor for our traditional cum-kiss. We took a shower before getting naked between the clean sheets and he spooned me to sleep. Happy Anniversary to us.

I slept safe and sound in his arms for about an hour before I heard voices on the balcony. I pulled on my sweats, opened the sliding glass doors to find Max on his balcony and Gina on hers trying to laugh quietly as they sipped their cocktails and talked. “Hey. What are y’all doing up?” I asked.

“My neighbors were having loud sex and woke me up so I came out here for a cocktail” Max said with a grin.

I shot back, “I know. Right? I caught my muscle ginger neighbor getting it up the butt from a cute redneck on the balcony last night.”

Max turned bright red, and Gina just said, “Ewe, you queens need to keep it in the bedroom” then of course she laughed. “Want some?” she asked as she held up a Pringles can and shook it from two balconies away.

Before I could answer, Max held up a bottle of vodka and asked, “How about a cocktail?” The next thing I knew, me and Max had climbed over the railings to get onto Gina’s balcony and the three of us were talking, laughing, drinking cocktails, and eating Pringles just like back in the day. What a fun freaking night. Gina and I were so close in college, then her and Max both moved to North Carolina and became best buds and I moved to St Louis for grad school and kinda got left in the dust. But now… the three of us were back together and raising our families together. That night it was just the three of us and we stayed out there for a couple of hours having a great time. It was past three AM before we all said goodnight and me and Max climbed back over the balcony rails to our rooms and we all I got back into bed with our husbands… I couldn’t remember the last time I stayed up so late.

It was about 5AM when Zach’s phone rang waking us both, Zach grabbed his phone, looked at it and said in a groggy voice said, “Shit, mom’s facetiming.” I got a bad feeling in the pit of my sleep-deprived stomach. Zach accepted the call and there was Kelly sitting in the big leather chair in the living room with a sniffling Izzy on her lap.

“There’s Daddy Zach” Kelly said to Izzy.

“I miss you” Izzy sobbed.

“Sorry to wake you guys, but I’ve been up all night holding her and she won’t go to sleep. She’s missing you.” Kelly said into the phone.

I leaned over so that me and Zach were both in the frame and said, “We miss you too, sweetie. But aren’t you having fun with grandma, and grandpa, and Freddy, and Ali.”

She nodded, “but I want you” she said melting my breaking heart. “come heo an pway Bowbie an make Mickey Mouse an cwean my woom an dwess me an pway socco wif fweddy an go to woke an…” she went on to quietly list pretty much everything Zach and I ever did. (Izzy to English: Please come home and I’ll let you play with my Barbies, and you could make you famous Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast. I’ll help you clean my room and you can dress me in anything you like and I won’t complain. You can even play soccer with Freddy, or go off to work… Just please come home, I miss you).

Her sobs slowed down as she rambled, just talking to us was making her feel better. “We should be home at lunchtime” Zach said trying to give her some hope.

She smiled, “I eat wunch now” (In that case, let’s eat lunch right now. Are you home yet?))

“In a few hours, sweetie. First you have to go back to bed and sleep” I said. “Okay? Can you do that?” She nodded. “And be good for grandma… okay?”

She nodded again, “den you come home” she said definitively. We agreed, talked a little longer and told her to be good for grandma and grandpa.

Seeing that she was doing better, Kelly wrapped up the call, “Say goodnight to your daddies, and tell them we’ll see them at lunch.” Then we said our I love yous and hung up.

Before we put our heads back on the pillows, Zach said, “Shit, a year ago we didn’t know those kids even existed, now it’s killing us to be away from them for two days.”

“I know” I agreed, “we’re starting out the new year as a family of five. It’s so weird.” All we could do was laugh. Yup, life was perfectly weird. We kissed and fell back asleep face-to-face for a couple of hours. Then, we got up, packed, and met the others in the lobby for breakfast.

When we got to the lobby Gina and Dylan were already checking out, “Get your stuff, we’re gonna check out, load up the van and hit the road right after breakfast… I miss my babies” Gina said. She had her mind set; we knew it wasn’t worth arguing with her. We went back up to the room and grabbed our bags then headed back to the lobby to checkout. Everyone else was ready to go, so we packed up the minivan and decided to hit the road and grab breakfast on the way. It had been a great New Year’s getaway, but we were all missing our kids and ready to head home.

Dylan was driving with Brody sitting in the passenger seat, Gina and Max were in the center row, and me and Zach were in the third row. “I had so much fun this weekend you guys” Gina said in a sweet, sincere voice. “But I miss my little shits.”

Zach didn’t miss a beat and said with a laugh, “ooooooo you said a bad word” doing his best Freddy impression.

Then Brody yelled from the front seat, “Buddy the elf is gonna tell Santa on you.” Next thing I knew, we were all laughing and telling stories about our kids and The Elf On The Shelf. It was a nice transition from our adults only weekend back to family-life. About an hour into the road trip, we found a Waffle House and pulled in for breakfast, it would be our last adult-only meal for a while. We snarfed down greasy food and just talked and laughed some more. These people truly were my best friends, we knew each other inside and out. We knew each other’s kids inside and out. We knew each other’s flaws. We knew each other’s strengths. We believed in and supported each other. We were all deeply woven into the fabric of each other’s lives, and I considered myself damn lucky.

The rest of the trip just flew by and before I knew it, we were pulling into Dylan and Gina’s driveway. Granny BA and Grandpa Daddy came to the door of the newer house with the kids. Maggie ran out into the cold without a coat to great her parents, she jumped into Daddy Dylan’s arms, then Momma Gina came over for a welcome home kiss. DJ squealed from BA’s arms in the doorway trying to squirm his way out of Granny’s arms until him Momma finally came over to greet him. He ditched Granny for the loving embrace of his mother’s arms. While they all reunited, we unloaded their luggage then jumped back in the minivan and headed to our house with Brody behind the wheel.

As we pulled on to our road Zach let out a heavy sigh, “Shit, we’re gonna have to take down all the Christmas lights soon” he said sounding defeated.

“Fuckit” Brody said from the driver’s seat. “You live in The South now son, the Christmas lights come down when and if the Christmas lights come down. Nobody gives a hoot.” Brody’s inner redneck was alive and well. The minivan turned into the driveway and we saw two people riding bicycles near the barn, and two tinier people running behind chasing them. Nathan and Max’s Dad had stolen the boys bikes with Freddy and Teddy running behind them trying to get them back. Brody parked the minivan and we opened the doors, the air was filled with fun and laughter as the two grandpas teased the kids and the kids chased after them having the time of their lives. They were so lost in the fun that they didn’t even notice we were home… but we were spotted through the living room window.

The front door flew open and Izzy came running out with Kelly behind her trying to get her to put her coat on (I have to say that Kelly looked like hell! It was clear her three darling grandchildren had given her a run for her money while we were gone). “Daddy Sach, Gwamma and Gwamma Unco Max’s Momma pwaying wif my dows in Bowbie’s house” she yelled as she ran to us and jumped into Zach’s arms. (Izzy to English translation: “Welcome home my loving fathers! Grandmother Kelly and Mrs. Harrington have been playing with me. We’re playing with my dolls in Barbie’s Dream House. I missed you both oh so much”).  God, I had missed her… I had missed them all.

“Grandpa Nathan stole my bike! But I chased him and got it back” Freddy yelled as he rode his prized possession towards us. Teddy was right behind us telling Max and Brody a similar story.

Max’s mom came out of the house with the bundled up Ali in her arms and handed the reaching child to me. “My god this kid is a sweetheart, Seth” Mrs. Harrington said to me as she handed him off to me. She wasn’t wrong.

He held onto my neck with all his might and pushed his head down hard on my shoulder. I kissed his head and whispered, “I missed you so much little guy.” Shit, I mean, I knew it already, but at that moment it was undeniable… I loved that little man and was attached to him, we all were. My heart was torn, I hoped he had a father who loved him and was frantically searching for him, but at the same time, I wanted him to stay with us forever… I had a momentary panic attack thinking we might lose him. Being foster parents was the best and worst thing we had ever decided to do.

“Where’s Grandma Harrington?” Max asked.

“Back at the farm, probably four fingers deep in a glass of brandy… she needed some alone time so we brought Teddy over here to give her a little break from us” Max’s dad answered with a laugh.

“Hey, how about McDonald’s for lunch on me and Grampa Harrington” Nathan yelled as he stood there with his (apparently) best new bud. I had to laugh at how all our parents had seemed to bond over their grandchildren.

“Give us a minute to unload” Brody said, “Let us dump our crap off home and we’ll be right back.”

“Oooooooooo” Freddy and Teddy both said as they pointed at Brody. “You said crap” they were both laughing. Brody rolled his eyes, then he and Max made a quick trip home to unload and were back in about fifteen minutes with Grandma Harrington. Meanwhile we had put all our junk up in our room.

The BroMax crew piled into the Pacifica, and our crew filled the Atlas and our giant gang went to MacDonald’s for a fun-filled family lunch where we heard every detail of our two days away from the kids while the well-meaning grandparents did their best to stay awake through lunch after their long weekend babysitting.

It was good to be home!

To be continued…
