Max’s Perspective
“Well, good mornin’ to you too sunshine” Brody said with a smirk as he put his arms behind his head and awoke from his slumber and looked down at me.
“Good morning” I mumbled back inaudibly, my mouth full of his morning wood. When I woke up earlier, he was lying on top of the covers in his boxers with his plumping cockhead peeking out of the fly. I just couldn’t fucking resist waking him with a blowjob. Brody was so damn sexy to me. I bobbed up and down on his growing manhood, my tongue swirling around the shaft while my hand gripped it firmly sliding up and down trying to coax an early morning load from him.
“Day-um, Maxwell, now that’s how ya’ start the day” he whispered as he enjoyed my hard work. I smiled around his now close to steel rod and proceeded with my “husbandly duty.” Our life was… well let’s just say very full! The candle company had taken off beyond my wildest imagination and the increasing demand for candles meant we had to grow more herbs, which led to us getting ready to launch a spin-off product of artisanal herbs. Brody had pretty much earned the top creative spot at the agency even though he was working remotely, which meant more travel for him (we had been looking for a condo in Phoenix for a while to make it easier for him, but he hadn’t found anything he liked within our budget). Teddy had come into our world and became the center of it, god, we loved that kid. So much so that we wanted more kids (Brody wanted a little girl so bad, but I didn’t care either way). Add Craig living in our guesthouse to all that, and now we agreed to take in Caleb, the newest villager. So, all that to say… Brody and I hadn’t had sex in weeks!!! “That feels so damn good, Maxwell” he purred, “it’s been so damn long. TOO damn long!”
I had a million wiseass responses to that in my head, but I chose to use my tongue for better things as I twirled it around his veiny shaft quickening my pace. I cupped his balls with my free hand and could feel them tightening up at my touch, his legs were stretched out and his toes curled as he grunted in private pleasure. I loved making him writhe in anticipation, and quietly whimper and beg me for more. I decided to toy with him, I knew his body and I knew how to bring him to the edge… I brought him there, then stopped. I moved up and kissed him for a bit prolonging the agony of his pleasure. After a short time, I moved back between his legs and brought him to the edge again, this time stopping him with a squeeze to the base of his cock. I moved up and kissed him again, making him whisper, “gotdammit, Maxwell. You are such a fuckin’ tease.”
“Yup. And you fuckin’ love it” I responded with a playful kiss to his lips while our eyelashes tangoed.
“I do, but Gee-sus let me cum already” he grumbled with a grin and a scoff as I moved back down between his legs. I took him down my throat and buried my nose was in his bush. My hand was cupping his balls, as tight my tongue twisted and teased him again. I worked him for all I was worth, he’d been saving up that load for me and I was going to claim it. Faster, harder, deeper, I worked him, I was on a mission. “Oh hail! Shit! Fuck, Maxwell” Brody muttered as he writhed and stretched his legs to their fullest, curling his toes once again. “Hail, I’m cummin’” he moaned, then grunted and shot the load of a lifetime down my throat forcing me to swallow and gulp trying to get every drop. It wasn’t easy, there was so damn much of it, but I drank it all. When I swallowed the last drop, I licked him clean from stem to head as his manhood slowly deflated.
“Day-um, Maxwell. Thanks for the wakeup call” Brody chuckled, followed by a “Whew!” Then he told me to get on my back and got between my legs. Brody went to work returning the favor, it didn’t take a helluva a lot of effort, I had a couple of weeks-worth of spunk built up in my heavy balls. With my hands behind my head, I looked down at my husband with my cock buried down his throat… damn it was hot! With all the chaos in my life I had let my body maintenance go a bit and I could see my red pubes tickling Brody’s nose, he didn’t seem to mind as he bobbed up and down on my red rocket, milking it for all it was worth. God, it had been too long and it felt so good, it only took about a dozen strokes before I pushed down on Brody’s head and shot my huge load straight down his throat. I shot more than he could handle, but he did his damnedest to keep up with my powerful spurt; jizz was spilling out the sides of his mouth, his eyes were watering, but he was a trooper and kept swallowing. he cleaned me cock then moved up and lie next to and gave me a proper good morning kiss.
Brody chuckled and grinned, “What got into you this morning… well besides my little swimmers?”
“I dunno” I said as I swirled my finger on his tight little chest. “It’s like life is getting in the way of our sex life and I decided to take it back.”
“Yeah, I hear ya” Brody agreed. “It seems like we always have so much shit going on and are too wiped out by the end of the day.”
“And it’s gonna get worse when we adopt more kids, let’s swear to make time for us” I said with my finger still drawing on his chest and my eyes locked to his.
“Hail yes, I swear” he said smiling, then added “It’s not like we’re dead, most guys our age are out clubbin’ all the time and fuckin’ like rabbits. We just need to make the effort.”
“Yeah, but most guys our age don’t have a business, kids, careers, a house, and all that shit” I laughed, and agreed wholeheartedly to make the effort to have sex more often. I gave him a full-on good morning kiss, jumped out of bed, and into the shower. Brody followed me and we soaped each other up, rinsed under the water together, dried each other off, then brushed our teeth together. It was a great start to the day.
I walked down the hall to make my way to the kitchen to start breakfast. I peeked in Teddy’s room to check on him and to my surprise… Caleb was asleep in the lower bunk cuddling Zoey, I just let them be and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast, however, my curiosity was piqued.
Since Craig had moved into the guesthouse, he and Maverick started coming over every morning for a touch-base meeting over breakfast to start our day. I was work for several minutes when Caleb joined me in the kitchen, it was his first morning with us and he was a little unsure of his new surroundings.
“Hey, Caleb, did you sleep okay?” I asked. He just shrugged and told me to call him Cay. “You hungry? I’m making bacon, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns.”
His eyes lit up, “that sounds great, you need any help?”
“You know your way around the kitchen?” I asked.
“A little bit, I’ll make the eggs… is scrambled okay?” he asked. He had already grabbed an onion and a pepper and was going through my spice rack before I even answered. I gave him a mixing bowl and he went to work cracking eggs and chopping peppers and onions. He seemed very comfortable in the kitchen.
“So, I saw you sleeping in Teddy’s bottom bunk. Is everything okay?” I Probed.
He was clearly embarrassed, and I think he thought he might be in trouble. “I’m sorry, I know that probably looked weird, but I swear there wasn’t anything strange goin on, Max. I swear it was all innocent.” The strange thing is… that something like that never occurred to me. I mean all that talk about gays being pedophiles, was just pure bullshit, I trusted all the guys around the kids.
“I know, I know, I didn’t mean that” I said trying to assure him I trusted him. “Is everything okay with you?”
“Yeah. I woke up in the middle of the night and, well I had a little freak out” Cay explained. “It all just hit me, I guess… I’m homeless, and alone.”
“No you’re not, you’ve got a home here, and you’ve got all of us” I said, still trying to comfort him.
“Thanks, but you know what I mean. The night before I was just trying to find a place to sleep, then last night everything just hit me, I guess.” He said as he whisked the egg mixture he was creating. “Anyway, I um… started crying, I thought I was being quiet but I woke up Teddy and he knocked on my door to see what was wrong. I told him I was just sad” then Cay chuckled, “Teddy told me being sad was stupid.” We both laughed… kids just tell it like it like they see it. “Then he asked me to come to his room and read him a story to help him fall back asleep. I read to him from the bottom bunk, Zoey came and laid next to me… after he fell asleep, I just stayed there. I’m sorry, Max.”
“It’s okay, Cay. I trust you, and I’m glad Teddy helped you feel better. He’s a good kid.” I answered and Cay agreed. We talked while we cooked together, it was the first time the two of us had been alone together, and I was reminded of my college days back at the duplex when me and Seth would cook together. Cay and I had a good talk, he had a lot of questions about The Village and what we could do to help (and why we did it), I liked the kid.
Eventually Teddy and Brody came down to join us, Teddy ran right up to Cay, hugged his legs, and said, “I hope you’re not sad anymore.”
“I’m not, thanks for helping me” Cay said as he tussled Teddy’s hair. I was proud of Teddy, he was a kind, caring, soul. Teddy let go of Cay and took a seat at the table next to his other dad. Right about then, Maverick and Craig entered through the backdoor. Everyone sat at the kitchen table while me and Cay served breakfast before sitting down and joining them. When we were all seated, Cay, Brody, and Teddy got to know each other while the rest of us talked business. The greenhouse was fully planted with new seedlings, we were in the process of clearing more land for growing herbs, and were getting ready to start planting outdoors in early March. Brody and I had talked about outsourcing the herbs for the scents, but we saw an opportunity to utilize more of our land. As a result, we now had a true working farm in addition to all our other chaos, and with me spending most of my time at the candle factory, I relied on Craig and Maverick to run the herb farm, so our breakfast meetings were a good opportunity for them to update me on progress, get approvals, etc. Craig had only been back a couple of weeks but he and Maverick seemed to gel perfectly and together had made a shitload of progress. Craig was a thinker and a planner, Maverick was a doer, and together they were the dream team. I could focus on the bigger picture knowing that things at the farm were moving forward.
We were still meeting when Freddy came in through the kitchen door yelling, “C’mon, Teddy. Time to go” like he did every morning.
“Hey Fredder” Brody said, “what’s up little man?”
“Hi uncle Brody” he said as he walked over to the table, nabbed a piece of bacon from one of the plates, smiled at my husband and took a bite. Freddy was part of the family and made himself at home at our place, just like Teddy did at his house. They were more like brothers than best friends. Our families were all so intertwined, it was like all the kids had several parents, several homes, and several siblings… I loved it and wanted to add more kids to the mix.
“Y’all better get a move on” Brody said, and added, “ya’ know how Izzy gets when she waits too long.” Brody absolutely adored Izzy. He loved her bitchy little attitude almost as much as he loved her sweet side. Her personality overflowed, and she had this ability to make anyone feel loved, welcomed, and like the most important person on earth.
I walked outside before the boys did and made my way to Seth. I told him about Cay’s first night with us, he just listened and nodded, that was Seth. Izzy and Ali on the other hand were in the backseat vying for my attention as I talked to Seth… I was able to update him before Freddy, Teddy, and Cay came out and piled into the Atlas. I said goodbye to Cay once he got settled in the passenger seat, “We’ll see you tonight, have a great day at school.”
“See you tonight, thanks, Max” Cay replied before Izzy grabbed his attention.
“Caleb, wemember me? I Izzy” she said pronouncing the “L” in Caleb perfectly.
Cay laughed, “OF COURSE I remember you, Izzy. Good morning.” then he turned to Ali and said, “You too Ali.”
“See you at lunch” Seth said to me, then yelled to his crew, “Let’s roll” as he turned the Atlas around and headed back down the driveway to drop everyone off where they needed to be. I could hear the kids yelling goodbye as they drove off. It was so nice having Seth run carpool for us, it freed up a lot of time for me.
Maverick and Craig came up behind me, “Do you have time to walk around and look at progress before you leave?” Craig asked. I nodded and followed them out to the two newly plowed acres out back, Zoey ran ahead and led the way. So, now we had three acres and a greenhouse dedicated to herbs. We had just harvested the greenhouse herbs from the winter, then planted seedlings that would be transplanted outside. Our plan was to maximize production outside during the summer, and grow year round in the greenhouse. Maverick pointed out where he planned on installing the new the irrigation system, then they walked me through the schematic for what would be planted where and when. I had no clue is it was the best use of the land, but trusted Maverick and Craig.
“I have some numbers to crunch on all this shit” I told them. I’d been researching costs of an irrigation system, and we were looking at like $2,000 - $4,000 per acre. We had already invested in the greenhouse, the old church, not to mention several pieces of new equipment, and more staff and labor. We were in this deep… but it was profitable and the potential was great. “Keep moving on everything except the irrigation system, I need to look at the numbers again.” I said as we roamed the land. Brody kept telling me Grammaw would be proud of what we’re doing.
“If we can’t install the whole thing this year, we’re gonna need a couple of more hands to help with the watering” Maverick said then explained the difference in the workload with and without the irrigation system. Those two were so smart when it came to this stuff.
While we were talking, Colton drove up in his old silver Corolla with the red door. He got out of the old car (also his former residence) and walked towards us; Zoey ran to greet him. “Hey guys” he said with a smile as he walked over to Craig and gave him a kiss. “Here” he said handing Craig a bag with some Tupperware in it, “I made you lunch.” He had just finished working an overnight shift at the docks and was dropping lunch for Craig before he went to bed.
“Who do I gotta sleep with to get a free lunch around here?” Maverick joked.
“There’s enough in there for both of you… Brody too. So, apparently you owe me one, bitch” Colton shot back at his friend.
“I love that your homework is always food… even when you fail, I get to eat” Craig said with a grin.
“I just wanted to drop it off before I went to bed. I’m working overnight again tonight… they need extra help and are paying me double time” Colton shared.
“You look wiped out, why don’t you just sleep in my bed, that way I can see you again before you go to work tonight” Craig offered. Colton thought for a moment and then decided to take his boyfriend up on the offer. He said goodnight to us all and retreated to the guesthouse with his bag of Tupperware in hand and Zoey following behind. Colton had lived with us when he first came to The Village, and he and Zoey bonded bigtime. That dog helped him (and a lot of the guys) get through a rough time.
Honestly, Craig and Colton were good together, they met at the grand opening of The Village and had been carrying on a long distance relationship for the past year and a half while they both went to school (Craig for horticulture and Colton to be a chef). When Craig graduated, I offered him a job at BroMax and he moved into our guesthouse while the two of them navigated their relationship. Living in the same city together for the first time was a big change and they wanted to take things slowly. I had a feeling they’d end up moving in together once Ella went off to college (although I knew she had been thinking about staying in town and going to UNC Wilmington. It was a hell of a lot cheaper than her other options). Craig, Colton, Taylor, Maverick, Mason, Asher, Alejandro (along with several others I’m sure I was missing from my list) were all building good lives for themselves. This. THIS is what my grandfather wanted when he left me in charge of the charitable trust in his will. This. THIS is what Seth and I envisioned when we started The Village. A place that accepted everyone, even those who have been cast aside by their own families, and gave them opportunities to build a better life. This was my grandfather’s legacy, and BroMax Farm was Grammaw James’.
Once Colton went off to get some sleep, me and the guys walked the land. It had only been a few days since I looked around, but things had progressed a lot… these guys were on a mission. They had the new planting acres cleared, plowed, and were mid-tilling, there were markers and flags everywhere plotting out the plan forward. The place smelled like freshly tilled dirt. We moved inside to the greenhouse… talk about a contrast. It smelled like herbs and there were sprouts everywhere. Off in the corner, the recent greenhouse harvest was hung and drying. “I know you’re investing a lot right now, but with the expansion of our planting, we think we’re going to need a building just for herb drying” Maverick said.
“It would open up more space in here for planting” Craig said. “And we could speed up the drying process and increase production.” He and Maverick presented their case, complete with numbers for the structure (a prefab building) and equipment (air dryer, racks, etc.) It was a simple operation with a reasonable price tag.
“Let me meet with my accountant, Elliot to talk through the investment and ROI” I responded, proud of myself for sounding like a CEO. “Do you think we can get through the season without it and put it on the wish list for next year?” I asked.
We can survive without anything” Craig said. “It just means more work and slower turnaround.” The three of us had a good discussion, and it became clear that I had hired the right guys.
After our conversation, I went up to Brody’s office to say goodbye and get a nice sloppy goodbye kiss, then it was off to the Candle Factory. I stopped at Marilee’s for coffee and ran into Seth who was fresh off carpool duty. The two of us decided to take a table for a few minutes and talk.
“Did you know Cay was crying last night?” He asked.
“Yeah, I tried to tell you, but the kids showed up too soon. Did he tell you?”
“Teddy did” Seth said with a smirk. “Teddy announced that Cay was sad last night and crying, all four kids wanted to know why” Seth said with a chuckle. “Why you cry?” Izzy asked, “Freddy wanted to know if he missed his momma, Teddy announced that he was just sad, and they all rallied around him. Izzy ended the conversation with, “Don’t be sad. I kiss you face” and bugged the poor kid until he put his face between the front seats and let her kiss him.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Well, when we started The Village, I didn’t really envision having a staff of child-psychologists helping us out, but it seems to work for us.”
“Well, why not? Zoey and Petunia are basically therapy dogs, why not a bunch of therapy kids?” Seth laughed. “But seriously, I think the kids help give these guys a sense of family and belonging. Look at Izzy and Asso” he said. Asso was the shyest of all our clients and Izzy was the one who got through to him. How? By giving him a tomato named Belle (it’s a long story… but it worked).
I had to laugh again; Izzy had this uncanny ability to make anyone feel loved. Damn, I had to agree with Brody, we needed a little girl in our lives.
To be continued…
