Seth’s Perspective
It was Izzy and Maggie’s last day at Mrs. Mavis’s. The two girls were moving on to the Pre-K program at Freddy’s school after we got back from our big ‘Doption Trip to Disney.’ Mrs. M. had been a huge part of our world since day one, she helped us bring stability to both Izzy and Ali when they first came to live with us, and made it possible for Zach and me (and Max, Brody, Gina, and Dylan) to pursue our careers and still raise a family. Ali, DJ, and the twins would be back in the fall, but Izzy and Maggie were growing up and moving on, it was bittersweet. Oh, speaking of careers and changes; Gina had accepted a job as Vice Principal at Freddy’s school and would be starting her new job when we got back from Disney. We were all elated that she’d be at the school for the kids, but she had warned us all that we were about to become very active parents whether we liked it or not, there was no doubt that Gina would be volunteering us for any and every school activity.
Anyway, Mrs. M had a “graduation ceremony” for the two girls in her backyard. There were tiny caps and gowns, Pomp and Circumstance blaring from the speaker, and of course an audience made up of our families. The two girls took it all so seriously, it was cute as hell, as Mrs. M called their names and they each stepped up on a milk crate and accepted their “diplomas” together. It was clear that Mrs. M was going to miss the little ladies as much as they would miss her, we could not have started our family without her.
After the ceremony, we all took Mrs. and Mr. Mavis (who I had met for the very first time that day) out for dinner as a thank you for all they had dome for us. After that, we were on vacation. This would be year two of our Disney tradition… it was going blow the first year ‘doption ‘acation out of the water! More kids, more adults, more activities. Everybody was coming! In addition to Ali, Abbi, and Olli, we were adding several families to our trip. Eli and Riley were joining us with baby Merce, Scotty, Brad & Family, Kevin, Randy & Family, My two sisters and their families, Kelly & Nathan, Grandma and Grandpa Harrington & GG, Grandpa West, and Grandpa Best (yeah, they all called Best grandpa now), BA and Daddy, and even Mom & Pop. Kev and Randy had reserved this great BNB with a pool, game room, etc., that would be our homebase, and Kelly found several other places around it, we basically has a city block to ourselves. She, Kev, and Brad coordinated everything, including who was sharing with who, etc. She took control, Kev wrangled the AZ crowd, and Brad handled our family. Kelly was in her element.
The only catch to all of this was that we hadn’t told the kids yet. Zach and I had discovered that our two youngest had zero concept of time, so if we said, “hey kids, we’re going to Disneyworld next month” we would get asked a hundred times a day, every damn day “is it next month now? How about now? Now is it next month? We see Wella today?” So, we just said nothing… besides, sneaking out in the middle of the night last time worked so well; we were half way there before they even woke up.
After the big graduation celebration, we went home and put the kids to bed (all but Freddy). Zach and I had been debating telling Freddy about the trip for a while, Zach wanted to let him in on the secret so badly. Freddy had been bugging the shit out of us to take “poor Ali” to Disney “onaccounta he didn’t get to go last time” for months (yeah, poor Ali). Besides, c’mon. Freddy was a kid, but he was also part of our parenting team, he deserved to know. So, finally, when the others were sound asleep, I let Zach tell our little man. “Hey Fredder,” Zach started as the three of us sat on the sofa (with Freddy in the middle), “we have a surprise for you guys.”
“Are we goin’ on a Disney ‘doption ‘acation?!” he asked looking at Zach with side-eye, then turning to look at me. Oh my god the little shit guessed it immediately, but in all fairness, he’d been bugging the crap out of us about it for freaking ever, aaaaaaaaaaaand every time we said we had a “surprise” he guessed the same thing.
“Yup” Zach said with a grin. “we leave in the middle of the night again.”
“For reals??!!!!!” Freddy asked with a smile I can’t over exaggerate and an excitement in his voice that I lived for. “Is Teddy comin’?” We answered and told him there were some other surprise guests coming too. “Momma? Is Momma coming?” He asked excitedly. “I aint seen her for a really long time.” Shit! Moment killer.
Zach and I exchanged looks, then I told him. “Listen, Bud” I said with a sigh. “Momma was hanging out with some bad people again, so you can’t see her for a while.”
“Is she in jail again?” he asked.
“No, but me and Daddy Zach don’t feel it’s safe for her to be around you guys yet. It’s our job to keep you guys safe.”
Freddy sighed, “yeah, I know. That’s a hard job.” Oh, my fucking god, this not quite seven year old empathized with us. He truly understood because it had been his job before it was ours.
“Can we see her someday?” He asked. What he was really asking was is she gone forever.
“If she keeps being good. Then yeah, when we feel it’s safe” Zach said tossing his son’s hair. He understood. I was surprised that he didn’t ask about the surprise guests again after that.
“But in the morning, we go to Disney” I whisper-shouted as I tickled him, that got me a couple of “yays” in response from my boys. “Hey, we have a lot more little kids with us this year, we’re counting on you and Teddy to be really good.”
Freddy rolled his eyes, “we’re always really good… okay well mostly” he said with a giggle as he remembered the “bike riding incident” as it came to be known. After that, the three of us got to work packing up the Atlas. Zach and I had been sneaking around packing stuff for a week, so we had a good start on it. But the three of us packed everything we could think of into the Atlas so that all we had to do was wake up and go. By the time Freddy got to bed, it was past 10:00 and he was wiped out. We both tucked him in then kissed him goodnight. As we were walking out of his room he said, “hey… can Ali be a pirate with me n’ Freddy this time?”
“If he wants to” Zach said. “Now get a little sleep, we’re gonna get up in just a few hours” those were the last words before the lights went out. As we made our way down the hall to our bedroom, I told Zach I was going to take a shower before bed so I was ready to hit the road when we woke up. He smacked my ass and said, “I’m in.” the next thing I knew, we were in the shower together, naked, and soaping each other up. Zach stood behind me with his arms wrapped around me. I could feel his soapy manhood growing as it slid up and down my slick, wet ass crack, as great as that felt, it was his strong arms around me that had be melting into his chest. He reached around and started stroking my soft member, I grew slowly in his hand, this is until he shoved his tongue in my ear… then the blood flowed to all the right places and I got hard as a rock. “That’s my boy” he whispered; I could almost hear his mischievous grin.
I pushed back against his hardness and couldn’t help but let out a pleasureful moan of appreciation. I threw my head back and let the warm water wash over my face as Zach continued doing what he was doing; sliding his cock up and down my crack, holding my wet naked body close, stroking my cock, and putting his tongue and lips to work on my neck and ears. He had literally taken control of my wet body. This went on for a little bit until I felt him take it to the next level. He applied more pressure and his purple cockhead slipped easily into my wanting hole. Fuck it felt amazing. “Fuck me” I whispered out of instinct as my ass pushed against him and sucked him in. He continued to kiss my neck and stroke my cock as I fucked myself on him. I was taking my time enjoying every inch of him as he moved in and out slowly. However, his hand was on a different schedule as he stroked my furiously trying to coax my load out of me… mission accomplished. I splooged all over the wet, tile wall, as my sphincter bit into Zach’s magnificent manhood.
“Fuck yes” he whispered in my ear before filling it with his tongue. I kept fucking myself onto him and he was fucking himself into me, desperate to breed me. The two of us were like a fucking machine programmed to breed. Finally, yet all too soon, Zach shot his load up my ass. He bit down on my neck at the perfect moment sending a wave of pain and pleasure through me as he huffed, puffed, and grunted his way to orgasmic bliss. We stood under the cascading water a little longer catching our collective breath. Finally, we finished soaping, rinsing, and drying ourselves off then, wrapped in towels, we made our way back to the bed.
“Look” Zach whispered as we entered the bedroom. There was Freddy, laying in our bed, fast asleep and fully dressed in shorts and a Mickey Mouse shirt holding onto the pirate sword he got on our Disney trip last year. I couldn’t help but smile. He was ready to go! Oh my god, he was so damn adorable. We pulled on our sweats and got into bed and fell asleep cuddling our son between us.
The alarm blared at 2am. The three of us popped out of bed and finished loading up the Atlas. The two final pieces of luggage were still in dreamland when we carried them down the stairs. Freddy said goodbye to Petunia and locked the house for us. Zach had Izzy, I had Ali, and Freddy managed his own self as we buckled everyone in for the long ride ahead. The two tiniest members of our crew never so much as stirred. Zach started the engine as I talked through our checklist. River and Che were moving in after work to housesit and take care of Petunia. “You gave them a key, right?” Zach asked.
“Yup” I replied, “and I left two hundred bucks on the counter for essentials.” River was coming into some money, but until everything was official, they were still struggling like Villagers and would appreciate a couple of bucks to help out… Caleb was moving into guesthouse at BroMax Farm to take care of Zoey and Jimmy The Goat. Convinced that everything on the checklist had been handled, we headed out to meet the rest of our caravan at BroMax. Us, the BroMax crew, and The Dylan James clan, were all there and ready to go. We had three vehicles complete with two sleeping toddlers/babies in each, and two excited almost seven year old boys who were wide awake. Eli, Riley, baby Merce, and the rest of the gang (who were flying in from all over) were meeting us in Orlando, except for. a semitruck sounding horn blared as the last of our road tripping crew arrived… an RV filled with Grandma Kelly, Grandpa Nathan, and of course Daddy and BA. The boys went nuts! After a whole lot of back and forth, and a lot of promises to be good, the boys got permission to ride in the RV with their grandparents (like the grandparents would’ve said no... c’mon). By 3AM we were on the road with Zach and I leading the Caravan of our family and friends. Our vehicle was quiet as our precious cargo slept… they were both so damn cute as they dreamed of princesses, pirates, and whatever else without a clue that their dreams were about to come true.
“So, when do the Arizona guys get there?” Zach asked.
“They all got there late last night” I said, “My sisters fly in this morning, we’re gonna be the last ones to arrive.”
“Who are we sharing with?”
I pulled out my phone to read the email from Kelly, “Okay… Kev and Randy are sharing the main house with Mom and Pop Nicholls, the other grandparents are sharing the house next to them. Everyone else is in townhouses, Theresa and Mary’s (my sisters) families are sharing” I said as I kept reading. “Gina and Dylan sharing with Max and Brody, Eli and Riley sharing with Brian and Olivia, and we’re with Scotty and Brad.”
“So, they’re all next to each other?”
Studying my phone I responded, “The picture shows the two houses next to each other, and the town houses across the street, so yeah I guess.”
“What about the RV?”
“Kelly said there was room to park it in the drive at the main house, I don’t think anyone is staying in it, they’re just using it to drive down in.”
Zach laughed, “Oh my god, I thought Freddy would pee his pants when Daddy said they could ride with them.” We both laughed, the two boys were probably driving their grandparents nuts already. I looked back at our two sleeping angels (and yes, I snapped some pics).
“We better enjoy the quiet ride while we can” I suggested as I sipped coffee from my travel mug. “by the time we stop for gas and breakfast, everyone will be awake and loud!”
We drove for almost three hours before Izzy woke up, Zach and I were listening to music and talking quietly when we heard Izzy yell from the back seat, “Hey! Where we goin’?” She was looking around the Atlas, “Wao Fweddy?” She looked a little scared, her yelling woke up Ali who looked around with a pout on his face that said ‘I was sleeping fuckers. STFU.’
“Look Daddy Zeff, Beauty and The Beast are awake” Zach said looking in the rearview mirror.
Izzy (who by the way was The Beast in this scenario) scowled into the mirror unamused. “Wao we goin’?” she asked again.
I turned the camera on the kids before Zach yelled with excitement, “We’re going to Disneyworld to see Cinderella and all the other princesses!!!” The news was met with a blank stare.
“We’re going back to Disney… we’re on vacation” I reiterated. Her sleep-riddled Izzy brain hadn’t kicked in yet, and Ali had no clue what a Disneyworld was.
She scowled at me until it hit her. “I get to see Wella? N’ Moana, n’ Snow White, n’ Punzo (that’s Rapunzel for the Izzy illiterates out there)? She asked processing it all.
“Yup, and Maggie, and grandma and grandpa, and the twins, and Merce, and well… EVERYBODY is gonna be there” I responded.
She looked around with worry in her eyes, “Fweddy? Wao Fweddy?” she asked.
“In there” Zach said pointing to the RV behind us. The next ten minutes were the best as she pieced it all together and asked a million questions… I loved watching her mind at work, you could see the wheels turning in her head as she thought through everything. Ali was listening and taking it all in. Certain words cued him in and he got the gist that wherever we were going, it was gonna be fun and Mickey Mouse was there. Izzy could not contain her excitement.
I handed each kid a wake-up juice box, then facetimed Grandma Kelly. “Hey Grandma, look who’s up?” I said into the phone as I turned the camera to Izzy. She demanded to see Freddy who explained it all to her in Izzy-ease (he understood her best and was fluent in her native tongue). She was so excited! Then we facetimed Gina’s Suburban where Izzy’s best friend, Maggie, was waking up and going through the same epiphany. They talked about their plans for the trip (princess makeovers was the main conversation), Ali babbled with DJ for a while. Yup, everyone was up and at it.
About an hour later, Zach spotted an exit with a Waffle House and a gas station and I texted the gang that it was time for a gas break and breakfast.
We took the next exit and pulled up to the pumps to fill up before heading over to the Waffle House. The little kids all stayed in their seats, but Freddy and Teddy bounded out of the RV. “Hey bud did you guys have fun?” I asked.
“YEAH! Grampa Daddy let me pee in the Arby’s” Freddy yelled; his tiny body could barely contain his exuberance. There was so much to unpack in that sentence… first of all ‘Grampa Daddy?’ Yup, our kid was officially a redneck.
Before I could even question it, Teddy screamed, “me too!” with just as much excitement.
“The Arby’s?” Zach asked.
Freddy rolled his eyes and said, “That’s what the truck is called, The Arby’s”. The two boys looked at Zach like he was the biggest idiot on earth. We tried to contain our laughter when we finally realized what they were trying to say.
“That’s R-V” Zach corrected, it fell on deaf ears as the boys babbled on about playing games with the grownups, eating snacks, and peeing in the Arby’s. The two little boys were lovin’ life. When Freddy calmed down a little, he opened the door of the Atlas and kissed his sister and brother good morning. I was glad he did that; they were both a little unsettled when they woke up and he wasn’t there. He was a great big brother.
Once everyone was gassed up again, we went across the street for breakfast and unloaded the vehicles; ten adults and eight overly excited kids descended upon the unsuspecting Waffle House. The place had several tables full of truckers, local farmers, and a few other travelers. We took up several tables and commandeered every highchair and booster seat in sight. Our waitress was amazing and attentive.
We were loud as hell and got a couple of dirty looks, but for the most part people seemed to get a kick out of the kids. The kids paired off with their friends, Freddy and Teddy stuck together, Izzy and Maggie found each other, and DJ and Ali were side by side in their highchairs at the end of the table, the twins stayed in their seats… oh, the five kids who went last year had their ears on (I made a note to get the new additions mouse ears with their names on them when we got to the Magic Kingdom).
We talked about the agenda as we ate breakfast, Kelly was going through everyone’s itinerary and arrival times (her and Kev did almost all the planning once thing started to come together).
“Wait, wait, wait, our cousints are coming?” Freddy asked with excitement.
“And Grandma, Grandpa, and GG too?” Teddy added.
“Yup” Kelly said, then went through a list of all the people we were meeting there, and where we were staying. She ended with, “everyone is either there already or on an airplane on their way.”
“WOW! This will be the best ‘doption ‘acation ever in the whole world” Freddy exclaimed.
“Yeah” Teddy agreed, “we better eat quick and drive faster or we’ll miss ever’thing.” The kids were insanely excited, the grandparents were loving every damn second of it, and all the parents looked wiped out.
With all the kids awake and fed, we tipped our overattentive, haggard waitress big and headed out to the vehicles where our first fight ensued.
“I wanna wide in dat twuck like Fweddy” Izzy said (Izzy to English translation: ‘I would like to ride in the recreational vehicle, please’).
“Me too” Maggie agreed as she walked over to Grampa Daddy and batted her eyes. So, after some arguing BA took control.
“I say the boys had their turn, how about we turn the RV into a girls only bus for the next couple of hours” BA suggested. “I’ll drive, Grandma Kelly, Gina, Maggie, Izzy, and the twins can ride in back.”
I thought Max was gonna burst, “Nope, the twins stay with me.” He and Brody were protective as hell and he was notready to let go, “they’re too tiny. The rest of y’all have fun.”
After some cheers from the ladies, and jeers from the boys we all rotated seating. The Ladies got in the RV, Teddy and Freddy rode with Zach, Brody, and Grandpa Nathan in the Atlas, the little guys (DJ and Ali) Went with Dylan and Grampa Daddy in the Suburban, and me and Max got in the minivan with the twins. That was the arrangement for the next few of hours. About an hour into it I got a text from Gina that said, ‘look to your right,’ I read it out loud to Max, just as the horn of the RV blared (and scared the shit out of us). I looked over to see Izzy and Maggie giving us the Princess/Parade wave. Their faces were caked with makeup and they had crowns made from paper plates on top of their heads. Aunt Gina and Grandma Kelly were right there with ‘em made up the same way. The girl-bus was in full force.
We switched again for the final leg of the trip and the grandparents took Maggie, Izzy, Freddy, Teddy, Ali, and DJ in the RV (god save them all). Brody had the twins, and the rest of us got a little peace and quiet.
We pulled up to the homebase, there were several rental vehicles and we could here laughter and splashing coming from behind the amazing Airbnb. We were just in time for a swim in the pool and brats on the grill! Everyone shouted a welcome when we got to the back of the house.
Damn! I knew everyone was coming and was excited to see them, but it was overwhelming seeing everyone in one place… it was a rare event. It took me a couple of minutes to realize that there were a couple of unexpected guests who came along for the ride. We were in for a wild week.
To be continued…
