Georgie d'Hainaut

“Sing in me, oh Muse, and through me tell the story.”HomerYes, I've added a surname to my alias and I changed my e-mail and website as well as adding Instagram, but it is really the "old" GeorgieI'm just a 65 years old, normal "typical neighbour" Dutch guy, who lives with his dog and cat in the  countryside of the hilly and forested Sauerland area in Germany. Since primary school I always had a knack of inventing stories and playing with words. Despite my (at that time) young age, it fascinated me that I could grasp and express emotions and thoughts in written text, be it in stories or in poems. Now I have understood that written text is a form of art and a perfect vehicle to convey phantasies, thoughts, concepts and opinions in a non-agressive way. Besides writing in English I also write in my native language and I occupy myself with drawing, photography and music.

Beautiful Regress

So, here’s another one: it’s about the thoughts and feelings of one of two elderly men, who fall in love with each other, contrary to the general idea, that “falling in love” is only the prerogative of teens and youngsters. (With sincere thanks to F.E. Cooper for some adaptions in American slang. Really appreciate it, man!)

So, we’ll return to "Syllables & Sounds”, that small book- and record store in the Main Street of a small rural town on the lake’s shore in North Vermont. Does history repeat itself, does it only seem to re-appear in small variations or are revolutions to
