Lucas said, “hey Ollie, I brought you guys some dinner, Ridge just sent at text, he and Blake are on their way back now.”

Ollie smiled, “that’s so nice of you, I hope this case is as quick as the last one. It’s bad enough when it’s an adult, but when a helpless kid is involved it’s so much worse.”

Lucas nodded, “yeah, I know these cases bother Drake a lot more too.”

Ollie sighed, “I guess I was lucky, I grew up in a good home and in a safe area.”

Lucas smiled, “yeah, me too.” He sat back in his chair and drifted back to his childhood.

Lucas Flashback.

I said, “mom, can Travis and I ride our bikes to the park?”

Mom smiled, “sure Lucas, just be back by the time your dad gets home from work, we have to eat dinner early so we can all go to your sister’s dance recital at 7.”

I ran out the door, “thanks mom.”

Travis and I have been friends since the first day of kindergarten, once we found out we only lived two blocks from each other, we were always either at my house or his. Our parents soon became friends too. We both had an older sister, because our dads had high paying jobs, our stay-at-home moms were always around to keep us out of trouble. My dad was the head accountant at a shipping company and Travis’s dad was a president of a bank. We lived in a nice part of Miami and could safely ride our bikes the six blocks to the park to meet up with our friends..

Once we got to the park and found our friends, we played a game of baseball or soccer, if anyone remembered to bring a ball. If no one remembered, we would just make up some sort of game that we could all play. Of course, we would make up the rules as we went, which usually ended up in a fight. By the next day, we forgot about the fight of the day before and were soon repeating the whole cycle again.

On the days that it was only Travis and I or after all the others had to go home, we would go into the woods behind the park. Over time, we found a spot and cleared all the fallen branches to form a make-shift fort. We kept our “clubhouse” a secret from our other friends and would only go there if we were alone. It was where we planned our future and talked about anything and everything that boys felt was important.

We were laying on an old blanket that one of us had snuck out of our house, Travis said, “I am going to open my own custom bike shop. I’ll buy old motorcycles, rebuild the engine, trick the frame out and sell them for thousands of dollars. Because I will be making so much money, I will need someone to keep my books, that’s where you come in.”

I laughed, “what makes you think that I want to be an accountant like my dad?”

He said, “well, I have seen you trying to work on your bike, you have no skills dude, you’re going to have to keep the books.”

I shook my head, “I will admit I’m not a gear head like you, but I’m not going to sit behind a desk to add up numbers all day.”

Travis asked, “so what do you want to do?”

I shrugged, “I have no idea, I guess I have a few years to decide.”

He agreed, “I suppose you’re right, I just know I like to tear things apart and fix them.”

I chuckled, “well, I’m glad you have things figured out, I hope something comes to me before I graduate from high school.”

We would continue to have our “talks” over the next few years. Travis would go back and forth between his bike shop and custom car shop, always something mechanical. I still had never found that one thing that I was as passionate about as Travis was. As we moved into jr. high, Travis started taking all the shop classes he could, while I was going down the academic path. I had my head in as many books as I could get, and Travis had his under the hood of a car. Even though our interests were quite different, we still remained the best of friends. While we outgrew our “clubhouse”, we still had our long talks, they just took place at one of our houses.

Lucas was drawn back into reality when Blake said, “wow, something smells good.”

I gave Lucas a kiss, “it smells like your Taco Dish, did you make your salsa too?”

He smiled, “of course.” He started to dish the food up as Blake and I filled Ollie in on the case.

I gave Ollie all the information I had on Dan and Lisa Grove, I said, “do a routine background check on them, job history, previous marriages, financial situation, you know the drill.”

Ollie nodded in between bites, “sure thing, do you suspect them of something? Is there an area that I should concentrate on?”

I shook my head, “nothing specific, I just think they know more than they told us, they just don’t know it yet. Also do a quick check on the grandparents, I don’t suspect them either, just covering all the bases.”

Blake said, “I’m going to follow up with Isaac’s daycare and preschool, plus the neighbor across the street. I was only able to talk to the dad, the mom and kid were out, but I was told that the kid, Chase, and Isaac were good friends and spent a lot of time together. The dad said, mom would be able to tell me more.”

I nodded, “great guys, I will make sure all the patrol cars have Isaac’s picture so they can be on the lookout for him.”

I noticed Lucas sitting off to the side as we talked about the case, he appeared to be thinking about something else.

Lucas Flashback.

When I heard Blake mention that Issac and Chase were good friends, I again thought about my friendship with Travis.

Once we started high school, Travis developed another interest that I didn’t share, her name was Emily Shaw. I liked Emily well enough, she was a friendly girl, always nice to me and she and Travis always included me when they would hang out together. Sometime over the last year, I started to notice that I was finding my guy friends more attractive. When I would lay in bed at night, my mind would drift to picturing them naked and me touching every inch of their bodies. As they were talking about which girl in our class was growing the biggest breasts, I was thinking about which guy had the biggest dick. I would get my inspiration for my daydreams from the quick looks I would get in the locker room after gym class. Josh Harrel always won the big dick contest that I would picture myself the judge of every night, Kelly Carson always came in second. The only guy in my class that I didn’t fantasize about was Travis, it’s not that he wasn’t good-looking, or didn’t have a nice dick. I think that it was the fact that we were such good friends, and I never wanted to do anything to jeopardize that. My feelings were him were more like the feelings you would have for a brother, I would always love him, just not in a sexual way.

By the time we turned 16, Travis bought an old car, and had it stripped to the frame, so we were spending most of our time in his garage. We would have our talks while I handed him wrenches and screwdrivers and watched his car take shape. I just marveled at the look on his face every time he got his latest part installed, he was so excited about every nut and bolt that he tightened. I was still looking for something that would give me the same excitement.

As we got to the end of our sophomore year, we were in my room studying for a test. I went to get us each a can of soda, when I returned, Travis was ending a call on his phone.

He opened the soda and said, “that was Emily, she wanted me to ask you something.”

I took a drink and asked, “ok, what’s that?”

He said, “you know her friend Erica, right?”

I nodded, “yeah, sure I know her. What about her?”

He said, “well, she just broke up with Brad, and Emily has been trying to find her someone to go out with.”

I knew where this was headed and was dreading the conversation, I said, “ok, so what does that have to do with me?”

Travis sighed, “Emily wants me to ask you if you would like to go on a date with her. She said Erica thinks you’re cute and we could do a double date so it’s not so awkward.”

It was my turn to sigh, “tell Emily thanks, but I’m really not interested.”

He asked, “why not, don’t you like Erica?”

I shook my head, “no, it’s not that, I think she is a very nice girl.”

Travis pressed on, “what, you don’t think she is good-looking?”

I said, “no, she is very good-looking.”

He asked, “then what is it? It’s just a date, it’s not like we are asking you to marry her.”

I took a deep breath, “Travis, you’re my best friend, right?”

He nodded, “of course.”

“And I can talk to you about anything, right?”

He looked at me, “absolutely. Lucas, what’s going on?”

I searched for my words, the first thing that came to my mind was, “Travis, I would rather go on a date with Josh or Kelly, than Erica.”

I studied Travis’s face as he just stared at me, trying to understand what I just said. The silence lasted for what felt like hours, I am sure it was only a few seconds.

Travis finally said, “Lucas, are you saying that you’re gay?”

I felt a lump in my throat and a tear start to form, I swallowed hard and said, “yes Travis, I am gay.” The tear rolled down my cheek, I continued, “I’m sorry, if you want to leave and never talk to me again, I’ll understand.”

I was shocked when Travis moved to me and wrapped me in a big hug. He said, “you have been my best friend forever, you can’t get rid of me that easily.”

I sat back when he released our hug, I said, “you aren’t mad at me?”

Travis shook his head, “Lucas, I love you like brother and always will. You being gay is not going to change that, I’m a little hurt that you thought that it would.”

I started sobbing like a baby, “I’m sorry, I never wanted to hurt you. This is just so confusing, I don’t know what to expect from anybody. Thank you for not running away from me, I love you like a brother too.”

He put his hand on my shoulder, “I’m not going anywhere.”

He sat and listened to me for another hour, offering his support and giving me encouragement.

He asked, “have you told your folks yet?”

I sighed, “no, not yet. I would appreciate it if you didn’t tell anyone else until I do.”

Travis smiled, “of course, but I think the sooner you tell them, the better.”

I agreed, “so what are you going to tell Emily about the date with Erica?”

He said, “I’ll just tell her you aren’t interested and suggest we ask Drew. I heard him tell some of the other guys that he thought Erica is cute.”

I gave him another hug and thanked him again, we finished our studying and Travis headed home. I lay in bed thinking about how I was going to tell mom and dad about this. Travis was right, the sooner the better.

The next night after dinner, my sister, Heather, was going to her friend’s house, so I was helping mom load the dishes in the dishwasher. As dad handed me the last plate, I took a deep breath and shut the door on the dishwasher.

I said, “mom, dad, I need to talk to you about something.”

Mom said, “ok Lucas, what is it?”

I said, “last night Travis tried to fix me up with a girl in our class, and I told him I wasn’t interested.”

Dad furrowed his brow, “you’re allowed to date if want Lucas, do you not like this girl?”

I sighed, “I don’t like any girls, dad.”

Just like when I told Travis, the silence seemed to last forever. As I looked at them, I was trying to decide if the look on their face was concern, disappointment, or something else.

Mom said, “Lucas, you are our son, and we love you. I am glad that you told us, instead of trying to hide it.”

I asked, “you aren’t upset with me.”

Dad shook his head, “your mother is right, we love you. It may take me a little time to get used to this, but we are glad that you were honest with us.”

We were still sitting at the kitchen table talking when Heather came home, so I told her my news. She was also very supportive, but as any good sister would do, she started to tease me and suggest some of her friends as potential dates.

The next week at school, Travis and I told Emily the real reason I turned down the date with Erica. I was relieved that Drew agreed to the date and he and Erica were soon going steady. I didn’t make a big announcement to all my classmates, but my friends soon found out. Most were fine with it, I decided that the ones that weren’t accepting, weren’t really my friends in the first place. I was happy that I could be my real self.

Travis and I still hung out, just like before and he never treated me any differently. Over the summer, I watched as he finished his car, and I went with him to pick it up from the body shop when he got it painted. It turned out great and it was running like the day it rolled out of the factory. We picked Emily up and cruised around town for the rest of the afternoon.

We started our junior year the next week, of course, everyone was in the parking lot checking out Travis’s new ride. When the bell rang, we hurried inside for our first class, as we took our seats, I saw him walk in.

Travis chuckled, “hey Lucas, you’re drooling.”

I asked, “who is that?”

He was still laughing at me, “I think his name is Jace, he just moved to town, when his dad got a job at my dad’s bank.”

I said, “so you know him?”

Travis said, “no, my dad told me the guy he just hired had a son my age. Why don’t you go introduce yourself.”

I think I blushed, “I can’t just walk up to him like that. How do I even know if he is gay?”

Travis shook his head, “oh for God’s sake Lucas, I didn’t say ask him out, I just said to say hi. I’m sure he hasn’t had time to make many friends, if he’s not gay, you can still be friends with him.”

Before I could respond, the teacher came in and started the class. I didn’t hear a word the teacher said, I was still checking out my newest classmate. He had the most beautiful brown eyes and wavy brown hair. He was wearing a tight t-shirt that showed off his broad muscular chest. He was wearing a pair of shorts that rode up his think legs when he sat down, they were covered in a nice coat of fur that matched the hair on his head. As I was staring at him, I was startled when he turned and caught me. I’m not sure, but I think he blushed slightly and flashed a beautiful smile. We spent the rest of the class stealing glances and smiling at each other. When the bell rang, he slowly gathered his books and waited until I was walking by to stand up to leave. As we walked into the hall, I worked up my courage and said, “hey, I’m Lucas Mills.”

He gave me that sexy smile, “Jace Davenport, it’s nice to meet you.”

Travis walked by us and gave me a wink and grin, “good for you Lucas.”

Jace looked at me, “what’s that about.”

I shook my head, “he’s my best friend and is busting my balls, just ignore him.”

He gave me a questioning look and asked, “what’s your next class?”

I said, “I’ve got History.”

He grinned, “me too, I’ll let you lead the way.”

By the end of the week, I was still not sure if Jace was gay, but we were becoming good friends. I finally asked him if he would like to come to my house to study sometime. He quickly agreed and we decided on the night that my parents were going to be out, and my sister had a date. When Jace arrived, I led him to my room, I had made up my mind that I was going to tell him that I was gay. I agreed with Travis, even if Jace wasn’t gay, I should tell him I was, and we could still be friends.

As we were studying, Jace told me about his old school and friends, and I told him about my friendship with Travis.

He laughed, “yeah, I noticed you guys are pretty close. So, is that Emily girl his girlfriend?”

I nodded, “yeah, they have been together for over a year now.”

Jace asked, “do you have a girlfriend?”

Here is my chance, it was time to tell him the truth. I shook my head, “no, I should probably tell you…”

He interrupted me, “good, because I was hoping that maybe you liked me.”

I was trying to process what he just said, I spit out, “what?”

Jace looked panicked, “oh, I’m sorry, I thought I was getting some signals from you that you might like me.”

I regained my composure, “yes, you are reading those signals exactly right, I am very attracted to you. I just wasn’t sure you felt the same way.”

He smiled, “I do. I have wanted to kiss you ever since I saw you that first day of school.”

Jace leaned in until our lips met, my first kiss was all the I had ever imagined and more. Jace parted his lips as he pushed his tongue into my mouth, my tongue instinctively pushed back. Our hands began to explore each other’s bodies as we continued to kiss. We broke our kiss and stood there looking into each other’s eyes, God, his eyes were beautiful. I kept my eyes locked on his as I reached down to pull his shirt up. Jace raised his arms above his head as I removed his shirt and dropped it to the floor. I ran my hands over his now bare chest, stopping to give each nipple a slight pinch. I ran a finger between the developing pecs, where a few chest hairs were starting to sprout. My finger continued down over his flat, taught stomach stopping at his cute little outie belly button and down the treasure trail of little hairs that led to waistband of his jeans. I smiled at him as I started to unbutton his pants and pull the zipper down. I gave his chest a little kiss as I started to push those jeans down. Once I cleared that plump bubble butt, his jeans fell to the floor in a pile at his feet. I grasped his thick thigh as he lifted one leg, then the other, freeing himself of the denim material. I ran my hands up and down his legs, stroking the light coat fur that was covering them. I stood back for another look at Jace standing there in just a pair of black boxer briefs. I started to drool when my eyes noticed the large bulge that was pushing the limit of those briefs. Our eyes met again, Jace appeared to be a little bit self-conscience, but he had no need to be, he was absolutely perfect in my opinion. I stepped in for another kiss as my fingers found their way under the elastic waist band and pushed his underwear down. We continued to make out as my hand found his erection and I began to give his manhood a gentle tug. Jace let out a shutter as he stepped back from our kiss. It was now my turn to be stripped. A shiver ran up and down my body as each piece of clothing was removed and Jace’s hands caressed my bare skin. We paused to admire each other before we resumed our kissing. We made our way to my bed and instantly moved into a sixty-nine position. My head was spinning, I couldn’t tell what I liked better, having my cock sucked or one in my mouth. I was soon in for another new sensation, when Jace released my cock and started to suck my nuts. I wanted to give him as much pleasure as he was giving me, so I mimicked his actions and sucked one ball and then the other into my mouth. The vibrations from our moans only added to the pleasure. We went back to work on each other’s dicks as I savored the taste of the steady stream of Jace’s precum that flowed across my tongue. I could feel my orgasm building as my cock was hitting the back of Jace’s throat. As I fondled Jace’s nuts, I could feel they were beginning to tighten as well. Because it was the first time for both of us, neither of had the control to let the other know that we were ready to cum. Almost simultaneously, we both exploded, filling each other’s mouths with our salty sweet semen. We did our best to not let a drop escape our lips as we continued to lick each other clean. Jace laid on his back as I laid on top of him and we kissed again, the taste of cum still lingering in our mouths. Our deflating cocks rubbing against each other while we made out, for what seemed like hours.

Jace smiled at me as I rolled off to his side, “that was nice.”

I smiled back, “that was more than nice, it was amazing.”

He asked, “was that your first time doing something like that?”

I nodded, “yes, and for you?”

Jace said, “yeah, did I do ok?”

I chuckled, “oh yeah, you did just fine.”

I saw Lucas sitting there with a silly smile on his face, I asked “what are you thinking about? You look like the cat that ate the canary.”

He smiled at me, “just thinking about you, sexy.”

I chuckled as Lucas started to clean up our dishes, Blake and Ollie had already left to start their work. I pulled him in for a kiss.

I said, “thank you for dinner, it really hit the spot. I will probably be a few more hours, don’t wait up for me.”

Lucas smiled at me, “just be safe and find that poor little boy.”
