Epilogue

Reader’s note: I had doubts about submitting this after seeing the comments on the last chapter, which showed a preference for the open ending. As I mentioned in the previous chapter’s comment, you have two options: discard it as the final chapters have been for years, or embrace it as a fitting ending.

Hi Maxim,

Thank you for your story about my first time. I found it very arousing, remembering that special night like it was. It’s been a few years since this time and so I felt I needed to write back and tell you where I am now. So, starting off with, I am now an architect at a very successful firm that my family has worked with for years. The work was hard to get there, but I have done very well having my own little area. Upon returning to college for my second year, Marc’s confidence influenced me greatly. I wasted no time and started an open relationship, having my first hookup with a fellow student who couldn’t hide his feelings. Embracing my power bottom self, we indulged in wild experiences. Once finished, I called Marc. We talked about what I liked and what I wanted more of the next time we did it.

Every weekend for that, he would arrive to see me. We would either go out if I had the time off from work or we would just meet up in my dorm and sometimes just talk. At the end of that month, Marc moved to the city. He missed me a lot. While I worked, he was looking for a home and work. So, he sold his home to Mom, who now rents it out. After that, he worked as a cop for a year before transitioning to security. Currently, he holds the position of Head of Security at several museums in our city. In addition, he runs an Etsy shop where he sells his own crafts. We revealed to my parents that we were dating before Christmas that year. They knew I’m gay. I was out and the family heard nothing bad happened. Dad lost a $50 bet with Mom that we had done something that night to start off our relationship. Funny how everyone kind of knew must be the gossipy townsfolk our town has.

Subsequently, Marc and I moved in together. Much to our surprise, we are still together. He’s stayed the same physically, but the many hours with him in the gym have made me closer to his frame. So where are we now? Marc and I have moved to a bigger house since my graduation, as we planned to start a family. While planning to either adopt or do surrogacy, we have accidentally become a foster family to two queer teens who we met though our charity work during COVID. Marc and I had been helping at a community centre, when he saw them, and through connections, we discovered that their family kicked. However, their guardians had abandoned them to their own devices. So we applied to foster and success. They have done well, cut to the present. We have officially adopted them and they are scholarship students going to college this September.

So Marc and I are still happily in love, with two kids about to leave home and another one on the way. As we plan our wedding for our 30/40 birthday, we’re also deciding to close our open relationship. However, that doesn’t bother us at all, the sex is still good. Yes, we did it—I’m typing this from bed. I’m watching Marc’s toned chest breath as he sleeps after an hour of fun from reading One Night With Officer Stephens, Forever Changed. I still can’t believe how one bold decision I made of lust has changed my life for the best. Any stories you write will be welcome, even if mine is told.

Peter.
