Standard Definition (SD)

Standard Definition (SD) video has a lower resolution and quality than High Definition (HD) or Ultra High Definition (UHD). SD uses a 480i or 480p resolution for NTSC (used in North America and some regions) and 576i or 576p for PAL (used in Europe and other regions).
